Pre-Arrival Information

Reserve or Buy Textbooks

​As you finish registering for classes, the next step is to reserve or buy textbooks. Reserving your textbooks now means less waiting in lines, no stress about course changes, and you can pay after the semester starts. Use the Textbook Price Comparison Tool to get the best deals on textbooks from the University Store or from other sources.  ​

Pay Tuition

Winter 2023 Tuition is due the first day of classes, Wednesday Jan. 4th, 2023, but you have a week before late fees will incur. There are several payment methods available: in person, online, and by mail. 

​To pay online, go to your my.byui account. Click on "Pay Tuition" found near the center of the page. On the right side of the page, there will be a button that says "Make Payment or Deposits". Click on that and then enter the amount you would like to pay under Winter 2023 tuition. ​

Get Financial Aid Faster with ​E-Refund

The balance of your Financial Aid will be deposited directly into your checking/ savings account when enrolled with eRefund. If you don’t use eRefund, you’ll receive a check by mail.

​​Information Technology (IT)

The BYU-Idaho Information Technology website provides self-help resources such as I-Learn tutorials, Wi-Fi tips and tricks, and email setup instructions. If you are unable to find what you need on the BYU-Idaho IT website, please visit the Technology Support Kiosk near the south entrance of the Manwaring Center by the Information Desk when you arrive. ​

Did You Know?

• There is a Writing Lab, Speech /Presentation Practice Center, and a Math Lab. You can take your papers to the Writing Lab and have them edited for you. You can take your speech or presentation to the practice center to have it critiqued. And you can bring your math homework into the math lab to receive help from FREE math tutors. 
• There is a MC Market on campus, which is a mini grocery/convenient store. 
• If you plan on getting a job on campus, you will need to bring your Social Security Card and your Birth Certificate, passport, or other form of ID in order to fill out the paperwork to become an employee.
