Sports

Intramural

Intramural sports are leagues that include only teams from BYU-Idaho. These are usually co-ed teams, although some sports, such as basketball and volleyball, are separated by gender.  A certain ratio of men to women is required on the court or the field in order to play; this varies for each sport. Students will form their own team and register for a sport through campus.rec.byui.edu

Intramural sports include:
Soccer
Volleyball
Basketball
Innertube Water Polo
Lacrosse
Rugby
Futsal
E-sports (FIFA, Madden, and NBA 2K)
Pickleball (self-reporting)
Ultimate Kickball
Dodgeball
Bowling
Flag Football
Floor Hockey
Softball
Wallyball
Ultimate Frisbee
Tennis (self-reporting)
Disk Golf (self-reporting)
Spikeball
Broomball
Cornhole
Inversion Ball
Full semester sports have a fee of $8 while half semester sports cost $5.

Self-reporting= students organize their own team and coordinate when to meet with opposing teams, rather than having the schedule chosen by the University.

Competitive

At the beginning of each semester tryouts for BYU-Idaho's competitive teams take place. Depending on the sport, teams will travel to other community colleges to compete. Some sports will just include an elevated level of competition and skill within BYU-Idaho teams. Look for more information on campus.rec.byui and in the University updates.

Competitive sports include:
Soccer
Lacrosse
