New Student Information Reserve or Buy TextbooksAs you finish registering for classes, the next step is to reserve or buy textbooks. Reserving your textbooks now means less waiting in lines, no stress about course changes, and you can pay after the semester starts. Use the Textbook Price Comparison Tool to get the best deals on textbooks from the University Store or from other sources. Financial Aid If Changing Your MajorFor financial aid purposes, you must submit any program (major) changes to your academic advisor two weeks before the beginning of the semester. If you change your program after this period, your new program may not take effect until the following semester and could result in a loss of federal financial aid for the current semester. Only program applicable courses are eligible for federal financial aid. To change your academic program, contact the Academic Advising Center. Merging EmailsIf you would like, you can merge your BYU-I email to your primary email account. A lot of important information about classes, University updates, internship information, and career opportunities will come via email so get in the habit of checking your email regularly now (if you haven't already).
