Reserve or Buy Textbooks
As you finish registering for classes, the next step is to reserve or buy textbooks. Reserving your textbooks now means less waiting in lines, no stress about course changes, and you can pay after the semester starts. Use the Textbook Price Comparison Tool to get the best deals on textbooks from the University Store or from other sources.
You will need to select the semester, course, and section of the course in order to view the material it's comparable prices.
Get Involved | ROTC
Army ROTC (Reserve Officers’ Training Corps) is one of the leading courses in the country that teaches leadership. It becomes a part of your college curriculum if you join the program. During classes, leadership labs, physical training and field training exercises, you will learn firsthand what it takes to lead others, motivate groups and conduct missions.
Around Rexburg | Craters of the Moon
20,000 years ago a series of eruptions caused the Great Rift to spew lava, covering to what is now 618 square miles. These lava formations are free to explore and visit! This is a 3 hour drive from Rexburg so if you are looking for a fun day activity, consider visiting this cool landmark!
The Counseling Center on Campus have put together information about common student struggles such as perfectionism, self-worth, and depression. It is totally normal to run into these difficulties, especially in college. Read more about these topics so that you are prepared when you join us for your first college experience.
Center Stage | Cultural Night
Cultural Night takes place next Saturday, March 14th, at 7-9pm. This event takes place every semester so you can look forward to attending in the Spring!
BYU-Idaho brings students together from all corners of the universe. We have so many different cultures on campus and this is the perfect platform for those students to display their background. This is the time they get to celebrate and share where they are from. Every semester this event is absolutely spectacular!
As mentioned in previous updates, BYU-Idaho has competative sports where teams compete with community colleges around the state. Competitive Soccer games usually take place on Saturdays. Men's and Women’s soccer occurs during the Fall and Spring semesters. Anyone is welcome to try-out and join a team, regardless of experience!
Get rocking with an energizing fun filled evening of Zumba! Spend 2 hours in a black light party with our amazing Fitness Instructors at the Zumbathon. Before long, you will be breaking a sweat without even knowing it!
Fun fitness activities like this are great ways to reduce stress and break up the monotonous routine of homework. Consider attending some of these when you start your first semester!
Join us for our mountain bike overnighter to West Yellowstone. We will start at Warm River in Ashton and ride the historic railroad grade to West Yellowstone Montana. The total mileage will be around 45 miles. The $30 fee includes mountain bike, camping equipment, transportation and meals. This is a great opportunity to see the countryside and have a new experience.
Every Sunday participate in Stadium Singing. You can end your Sabbath day by singing the hymns together either in Spanish or in Enfglish. All students welcome. It takes place under the stadium from 9:30-10pm.
