01 - New Student Information

REGISTRATION
For those who are coming to BYU-Idaho for the first time this Winter, registration for classes is open and in full swing. The longer you wait to register the more difficult it will be to register for the classes you need. Don't wait, register today!
RESERVE OR BUY TEXTBOOKS
​As you finish registering for classes, the next step is to reserve or buy textbooks. Reserving your textbooks now means less waiting in lines, no stress about course changes, and you can pay after the semester starts. Use the Textbook Price Comparison Tool to get the best deals on textbooks from the University Store or from other sources.

02 - University Culture

GET INVOLVED 
Army ROTC (Reserve Officers’ Training Corps) is one of the best leadership courses in the country and is part of your college curriculum as a student in the ROTC program. During classes, leaderiship labs, physical training and field training exercises, you will learn firsthand what it takes to lead others, motivate groups and conduct missions. AROUND REXBURG
​Craters of the Moon is a vast ocean of lava flows with scattered islands of cinder cones and sagebrush. It is a volcanic wonderland that is fun to explore. Check out facts, directions, and activity itineraries here.

04 - Physical Activities

SPORTS
​The Competitive Soccer games are usually on Saturdays. Men's and Women’s occurs during Fall and Spring semesters. People of all ages and experiences are welcome to try-out and join a team! The championships are being held this Saturday, Nov 9th, at 11am for the women and 1pm for the men.

FITNESS
​Zumbathon is a 2 hour Zumba session. Get rocking with an energizing fun filled evening. It’s a black light party that goes from 8-10pm. This semester it was a Monster Mash Dance night back in October.

OUTDOOR
​Join us for our mountain bike overnighter to West Yellowstone. We will start at Warm River in Ashton and ride the historic railroad grade to West Yellowstone Montana. The total mileage will be around 45 miles. The $30 fee includes mountain bike, camping equipment, transportation and meals. This is a great opportunity to see the countryside and have a new experience. 

05 - Social Activities

SOCIAL
​Come join us every Wednesday for Dungeons & Dragons in the Hinckley building 6-9pm. D&D is a tabletop fantasy role playing game.The core is storytelling. Multiple games at different tables. Join any game you want!

SERVICE
​One Saturday a month, volunteers go and serve breakfast to Veterans in the Rexburg and surrounding areas. This is a great way to show appreciation and support for those who have served our country.

TALENT
​Every Sunday participate in Stadium Singing. You can end your Sabbath day by singing the hymns together either in Spanish or in English. All students welcome. It takes place under the stadium from 9:30-10pm.

06 - What Current Students Wish They Knew Earlier

  • There is an auto car repair shop on campus. You can take your car in to the Austin building and the automotive students will fix your car for you!
  • There is an art gallery in the Jacob Spori building that changes a couple times throughout the semester.
  • In order to work out on campus or go to fitness classes, you will need BYU-I approved clothing. Order ahead of time!
