Around Rexburg | Harriman State Park

Harriman State Park is a great place to get out into nature. There are hiking trails, camping spaces, horseback riding, fishing, cross-country skiing, and snowshoeing. Rent some gear from the Outdoor Resource Center and take a drive out to this beautiful landscape! It's just less than a hour away from Rexburg!

Emotionally Prepare

In college, it is really easy to neglect the necessities that your body needs. You'll be up all night doing homework, wake up late, and miss breakfast. You won't have a lot of time to spend on making dinner so you pop a few corn dogs in the microwave or order pizza. You might start to see your behaviors change and your mental capacity deteriorate. This is a real challenge that many college students struggle with!

Attend the workshops and instruction that will teach you how to budget a healthy meal plan, what foods are going to give you more energy and nutrients, strategies to healthy grocery shopping, meal prep, etc.

By eating correctly you will see improvements in your sleep patterns, and soon get into a regular routine which will help your brain function at a higher capacity. With everything a college student is responsible for, we need to be functioning at full capacity in order to be successful.
