New Student Updates

New Student Update #10

6/26/2020

New Student Information

Get Connected

Get Connected (New Student Orientation) is your official start to BYU-Idaho. It consists of interactive presentations and activities designed to help you successfully begin your college experience. This two day event will ensure you become familiar with campus, the resources that are available to you, and the activities that you can get involved in.

For the Fall semester, Get Connected will be held virtually. Look for more emails about what to expect and directions to the various online events and activities.

Honor Code

“The CES Honor Code exists to educate students in an atmosphere consistent with the ideals and principles of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. As a condition of admission, students and employees of BYU-Idaho are expected to live by the Honor Code standards approved by the Board of Trustees ‘at all times... and in all places’ (Mosiah 18:9). Individuals who are not members of the Church are also expected to maintain the same standards of honor, integrity, morality, and consideration of others.” -from the Student Honor Office website.

Did You Know?

  • The Salt Lake Express is a shuttle that travels from Rexburg to Salt Lake City and back while making stops along the way.
  • You can get free Microsoft Office such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, through the University Store because you are a student.
  • There is a plant shop on campus where you can buy flowers, plants, herbs, and vegetables at an affordable price. Decorate your apartment to make it feel more like a home.

Inspirational Message

Student Living

“What is discipleship? It is primarily obedience to the Savior. Discipleship includes many things. It is chastity. It is tithing. It is family home evening. It is keeping all the commandments. It is forsaking anything that is not good for us” - President James E. Faust. Check this website for more information about Student Living here at BYU-Idaho
