01-New Student Information 

MOVE-IN DAY

Move-In Day is Friday April 17, 2020 ​​
 Complexes open at 8:00 a.m. for you to start moving in and then Get Connected events begin as early as 1:00 p.m. Plan to move into your complexes early that morning so everything is set up and ready to go for Get Connected that afternoon! Volunteers for Get Connected will be at your complex to help you move in and get you checked in to the events!

02-University Culture

GET INVOLVED

Get involved in the performing arts program which provides an important means of communication where thoughts, creativity, and expression can be directed to ennoble, uplift, and inspire. Share your talents by getting involved with Choir, Orchestra, Humor Code, or Talent Activities at BYU-Idaho. 

If you are more interested in other ways to share your talents such as the Acoustic Cafe,
Cultural Night, the I-Talent Show, and Stadium Singing every Sunday. Join in the performance or just go and support!

AROUND REXBURG | Grand Teton National Park

The majestic Grand Tetons are located only 50 miles from Rexburg. Views of the Tetons can be seen from the Idaho side or in the Grand Teton Park, located in Wyoming. 

Makes for a great weekend trip with friends! Pack a lunch and enjoy some time outside!

04-Physical Activities

SPORTS

​Choose your level of involvement. Sports activities are offered for many differing levels of participation. Join a recreational team or tryout for a  competitive team! Fitness events and class offerings differ by semester. See here for the offerings available in the Spring! Join in and play!

FITNESS

Zumba or Yoga anyone? Maybe High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) is more up your alley? The Fitness Activities has a variety of fitness classes scheduled weekly during the semester. 

The Wellness Center also gives you access to fitness consultants, nutrition coaches, personal trainers, and so much more.

OUTDOOR

​Outdoor Activities introduces, provides, and involves students in lifetime outdoor activities.
Outdoor Activities offers kayaking and sit-on-top kayaking. Hop on the water with us as we paddle a sit-on-top kayak down Henry’s Fork of the Snake River. They provide transportation and all necessary paddling equipment. All that is needed is YOU. Your adventure starts here! 

05-Social Activities

SOCIAL

Part of Social Activities are the weekly dances. Wednesday nights you can participate in Country and Swing dancing; Friday nights are Latin and Ballroom. Learn how to dance in each style during the instruction which takes place an hour before the open dance floor,  8-9pm. All dances start at 9pm and end at 11pm.

Service Activities presents
​Adopt-a-grandparent! Meet at the Manwaring Center roundabout every Saturday. Spend a couple hours visiting the elderly to not only fill your week with joy,
but theirs as well!

TALENT

Do you want to learn a new talent? Talent Activities has just the workshop for you! Attend one of our weekly, student-led, free workshops and see what hidden talents you might discover.

06-Did You Know?

  • There is a career and networking center on campus that will help you build & update a resume or cover letter, create a LinkedIn, learn how to network, practice interviews, and explore different Majors. 
  • Please download the “Student Life” app. It includes a map of campus, events on campus, outdoor activities, I-Learn, your BYU-I email, class schedule, I-card, finances, employment, food on campus, etc.
  • The David O. McKay library houses the tutoring center, a Mac Lab & 3D Printing studio, study rooms for group study sessions, special collections, an iron acorn press, and great places to do research!

President Clark said, “The Spirit of Ricks is the defining characteristic of BYU-Idaho. It is something we share as a university community.
